“We bought this until we get real furniture,”
is what we hear about commercial flat pack all of the time.
Though lifespan claims vary, we’ve noticed that flat pack is often viewed as disposable.
We get it - flat pack or fast furniture - mass produced, relatively inexpensive, often entry level furniture, it’s stylish enough and fills a need fast, it had its place in our transient lives as well. We spent years working overseas and often relied on the hulking blue building with big yellow letters, outfitting multiple apartments.
Fast furniture production has grown with consumers looking for economical ways to achieve design trends.
We started thinking –
What if we came full circle and used actual wood? How would that impact the price point?
What if it could transition room to room as life changed without falling apart? From first apartment to first home to first next?
What if it was a real wood sealed surface and not a laminate to chip off?
…….what if Billy grew up and wanted to be called William now?
William is a modular system that provides a variety of furniture storage solutions.
Construction is solid cabinet grade birch plywood, clear sealed for durability and to highlight the beauty of natural wood.
Parts are ala carte: each unit is 30” x 24” are pre-drilled for adjustable shelves. Each unit comes with one shelf.
Simple, sleek and durable.
Pedestal base or sustainably forested hard wood legs hand-turned Mid Century Modern styling are available .
Combine units with other units to create multiple storage configurations, door are available.
A packed-flat version available with assembly hardware - still built from all real wood!
