Bedroom Wardrobe + Workspace

Charm should not equal cramped! The downside to the Orlando homes of the 40’s and 50’s is that people must have worn less clothes then because they certainly didn’t have large closets. As most houses were 1200-1800sf, built-in storage space was at a minimum.

Living in a house built in 1950 ourselves (and our first was built in 1947!) we have become pros at providing space solutions where there seemingly is none. Tasked with creating additional clothing/storage space as well as a work nook, we think this project provided a bonus of storage, kept a 12’x11’ room from feeling cramped while capturing that airy Florida feel.
