Scandinavian Modern Built-in Bookcase + Drawers

It is so satisfying when a project sticks the landing and this beast of a built-in did just that.

The client’s brief was a 14’ x 8’ custom built-in bookcase to replace one built 15 yrs and three homes ago.

This unit includes a 22” deep workspace top, 12” deep upper shelves and with (9) lower 10” deep soft close drawers. They wanted at least 50’ linear feet of shelving and it has 56’! The furthest left cabinet has integrated power and conceals a large printer. The hardware is 9’ bronze edge pulls. It is natural sealed white oak with horizontal grain match across the flush drawer fronts and vertical grain match on the doors.
